Next Level U Statement
My name is Mylee Walker and I’m a 2027 grad from Simcoe, Ontario. I’m a middle infielder and utility player with the Waterloo Ghosts 16U and also pitch when needed. I’ve always believed that effort off the field matters just as much as performance on it — that’s why I train year-round with Northern Force Academy to keep improving every aspect of my game.
Last summer, I earned the right to represent Ontario at the U15 National Championships and helped bring home a bronze medal. This season, I’m batting leadoff and currently lead my team with a .521 batting average, a .540 OBP, and a 1.187 OPS. I’m a lefty slapper who can also hit for power, and I use my speed to put pressure on the defense — I lead my team in stolen bases and haven’t been caught stealing once.
What sets me apart is my work ethic, my communication on the field, and my commitment to being a great teammate. Whether I’m at shortstop, second or in the circle, I bring leadership and intensity to every inning. I also stay focused in the classroom, with a 3.4 GPA and an interest in studying clinical sports psychology in college.
My goal is to earn a scholarship and play college softball in the U.S. I want to compete at the highest level I can while being part of a program that values strong team chemistry, development, and culture. I’m excited to find a school where I can grow as both an athlete and a student.
Let’s connect — I’d love to find out more about your program and how I can be part of what you’re building.

I’m a 2027 grad who primarily plays 2B but brings full utility value to any roster — with experience at SS, 3B, and the outfield. I’m known for my speed, aggressive baserunning, and ability to put pressure on defenses. As a left-handed slapper who can also hit for power, I consistently get on base and lead off the lineup with a high OBP. My versatility and field awareness make me a reliable and adaptable player wherever my team needs me.
Player Style:
I play fast, smart, and with a team-first mentality. As a left-handed slapper who can also hit for power, my approach at the plate is all about getting on base and creating chaos for the defense. I thrive in the leadoff spot, using my speed, discipline, and ability to read pitchers to consistently find ways to reach — whether it’s a bunt, slap, or line drive.
On defense, I bring energy and communication. I’m confident at second base but also comfortable across the infield and outfield. My quick first step, strong footwork, and awareness allow me to cover ground and make tough plays look routine. I pride myself on being consistent, coachable, and someone my teammates can rely on in pressure moments.
I bring intensity every time I take the field, and I put in the work off the field to match it — whether it’s extra reps, lifting, or training with my academy. My style is about hustle, grit, and doing whatever it takes to help my team win.
Player Strengths:
-
Speed & Baserunning: I use my speed to create opportunities — whether it’s beating out infield hits, stretching singles, or stealing bases. I currently lead my team in stolen bases and have been 100% successful this season.
-
Plate Presence & OBP: As a left-handed slapper who can also drive the ball, I bring a balanced, pressure-based approach at the plate. I lead off and consistently get on base with a .540 OBP, keeping the defense moving and creating momentum for my team.
-
Versatile Defense: I’m most comfortable at second base but confident across the infield and outfield. My quick reactions, clean footwork, and reliable glove allow me to adjust to wherever my team needs me.
-
High Softball IQ: I grew up watching and learning the game through my older brother, who played for Team Softball for Ontario and U18 Team Canada. Being around high-level softball from a young age helped me develop strong instincts, game awareness, and a deep understanding of how to stay one step ahead.
-
Work Ethic & Team Mindset: I take pride in being coachable, vocal, and always putting in extra work. Whether it’s reps on the field, training in the gym, or supporting teammates, I do what it takes to help the team succeed.
Leadership:
Leadership
Leadership is something I take seriously, both on and off the field. I’ve been named a captain on several of my hockey teams, which has taught me how to lead through example, communicate clearly, and keep my team focused under pressure. That same mindset carries over into every sport I play. Whether it’s high school softball, hockey, basketball, or volleyball, I consistently take on leadership roles — not just by being vocal or competitive, but by being the kind of teammate who lifts others up and sets the tone. I believe leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about consistency, energy, and showing up every day ready to do the work.
Team History:
2023 – Haldimand Heat – U15 (Tier 2)
2025 – Haldimand Heat – U15 (Tier 1)
2024/25 -Northern Foce Winter Acaemy
2025 – Waterloo Ghosts U17 (Tier 1)
Other Info:
My favorite part of softball has never been about personal stats — it’s about competing for a championship with teammates I care about and work hard for. I love the bond that comes from training together, pushing each other, and going through the highs and lows as a team. Winning with your friends — the ones who grind beside you — is what makes it all worth it. That team-first mindset is something I’m proud to bring to every sport I play, and I’m excited to carry it with me to the college level.
Off the field, I’m passionate about learning how the mind and body work together in high-performance environments. That’s why I’m interested in studying clinical sports psychology. After my playing days, I want to stay involved in athletics and help other athletes build mental strength, confidence, and resilience — just like I’ve worked to develop in myself.
