Next Level U Statement

I am interested in playing flag football at a 4 year institution, while obtaining an undergrad in Kinesiology or Phsycology. After I hope to pursue the job of Occupational therapy by an additional 2 year program at a University. My dedication and passion for Flag Football is evident with only joining a newly formed travel team last year. Over the last few years of being introduced to Flag, I have quickly picked up the skill and knowledge of the sport. My background in multiple sports has grown me to be a highly competitive athlete which has taught me commitment to growth, and to be a leader on and off the field. No matter the score, I am always hyping up my teammates, and being the energy that my team needs in those times.

Other Info:

In addition to my primary sport, flag football—which I play both within and outside of school—I actively participate in a variety of other athletic teams within my high school. These include girls’ volleyball, slo-pitch, soccer, and track & field (triple jump, long jump, 100m).

I was first introduced to flag football in Grade 9, almost 3 years ago, when I joined my high school team. Prior to discovering my passion for the sport, I played on several house league soccer teams and was a competitive gymnast for six years, training with multiple teams throughout that time.

Despite having less experience in flag football compared to others, my dedication and perseverance have allowed me to progress quickly. Last summer, I joined a newly formed team—the Simcoe North Stars. Although we participated in only a few smaller tournaments, and in less than a year of being a team, we won the 2024 Fall Elite Provincial Championship, where I was named MVP.

While sports play a significant role in my life, my faith holds an even deeper importance. Through volunteering at my church, I have completed nearly 500 hours of community service. Over the past two summers, I have dedicated my time to God’s ministry by participating in urban mission trips and evangelistic outreach programs.
