Next Level U Statement

I come from a family of D1 NCAA athletes and hoping to follow in their footsteps while achieving my academic goals. I would be an asset to your team because I am a strong leader proven by unanimously being voted by teammates and coaches, captain of every volleyball team I’ve been on so far. I am a great communicator on and off the court. I’m a team player and enjoy watching the successes of my teammates. I’ve built life-long friendships through this sport and hope to make more. Most of all I like to be silly and have fun with my teammates when I’m off the court. I have a positive attitude (even if the game isn’t going our way).

I am driven and hard working when it comes to volleyball and academics. I am putting in extra time and training outside of regular practices to prepare myself as a potential student athlete schedule. I am training in both setter and libero positions to help build diversity in my skills.

My story is one of hardship and perseverance. I believe what I don’t have in height I make up for in speed and technical skill. My team consists of  technical volleyball coaches, rep and varsity coaches, my dad Kenen Shadd who was an NCAA D1 Track and Field athlete and who now coaches track and field/speed/agility, my aunt Crystal Shadd and my cousin Trinity Shadd who are both NCAA D1 Volleyball players and my aunt Melissa Melnychuk who is an expert in strength training and wholistic nutrition.
