Next Level U Statement
Hello,
I am a Canadian golfer planning a structured gap year to further develop my game, with the goal of achieving a tournament scoring average of 73 or below prior to entering college. My objective is to be prepared to compete in the NCAA and contribute to a program when I begin in Fall 2027.
Academics are very important to me. I currently hold a core GPA above 3.7 and will continue to balance my academic responsibilities with high-level training and competition.
My decision to take a gap year and enter college golf in 2027 is strategic, allowing me to be fully prepared to contribute as a freshman. During this time, I will train and compete at a high level with the Henry Brunton Golf Academy. I will follow a full competitive schedule from March 2026 through August 2027, including respected events such as the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, the Florida Junior Tour (FJT), and in Canada, the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), Golf Ontario, and Golf Canada events.
I have been a competitive athlete since the age of four, beginning in AAA hockey before transitioning fully to competitive golf three years ago. This background shapes my work ethic, discipline, and competitive mindset.

There’s a lot more to my story and would love to have the chance to share my journey with you. I have conquered every obstacle put in my way and that is how I approach any challenge. I am a ‘latebloomer’ and have every confidence that I can make a difference on a College Golf Team. I am steadily improving and will continue on this path over the next 21 months. I look forward to discussing how I can impact our team.
