Next Level U Statement
I am currently a grade 11 student exploring universities where I can hopefully compete at a high level in women’s hockey while pursuing strong academics. I am currently a U18 AA player with the Cambridge Roadrunners, competing in a highly competitive and successful program that has pushed me to grow as both a player and a teammate. As a multi-sport athlete, I have developed strong speed, endurance, and overall athleticism, while also learning the importance of discipline and time management. I take pride in being coachable, consistent, and committed to continuous improvement. All qualities I believe would allow me to positively contribute to a strong team culture and competitive standard. Academically, I have maintained a 95% average while taking all academic classes and earning honour roll. I am hoping to go to University to study either Human Kinetics and Medicine, or Business Studies while being an asset to a strong hockey team.

I play primarily right or left defenceman, although I shoot left. I am also a two-way player and often help out on forward if needed.
I am a responsible, hard working defensive player who effectively uses my speed to jump into plays and make smart decisions to produce offensive chances.
My biggest strengths would be my speed, edge work and agility along with a strong hockey IQ.
