Landon Kennedy selected for Canada Games Development Camp
A total of thirty athletes were selected to take part in Swim Saskatchewan’s Canada Games Development Camp on November 9, 2024. Three-time Olympian Yuri Kisil led two pool training sessions and delivered an inspiring talk to the athletes. Additionally, the swimmers engaged in a mental performance classroom session.
The camp provided a unique opportunity for these young athletes to hone their skills and gain valuable insights from an experienced Olympian. The training sessions were intense yet rewarding, focusing on techniques that improved speed, endurance, and efficiency in the water. Yuri Kisil’s motivational talk was a highlight, inspiring swimmers with stories from his Olympic journey and emphasizing the importance of perseverance and resilience.
In the mental performance session, participants learned strategies to enhance focus and manage competition anxiety, equipping them with tools to excel both in and out of the pool.
The experience left a lasting impact, motivating these young athletes to pursue their dreams with renewed determination.
