Solidified another WIN!
On June 22nd and 23rd I participated in the MJT tournament hosted at Amherst Golf club.
This tournament went my way. I played 2 solid rounds of 76 and 76 to win by 1 stroke. This course is setup super hard every year with greens running at a stimp of 11.5. This makes it super challenging to hold the greens and find any spin at all, so it is certainly a test of my game.
Both days I had shot -1 on the front nine and 6 over on the back. The back nine of this course is setup tough with challenging par 3’s and only 1 par 5 which is not a 2 shot hole. I remained calm throughout both my rounds and did exactly what i needed to do if i wanted to come out on top and I achieved it!
Winning this tournament has short listed me to represent MJT team Canada in the jack newton international junior classic in South Whales, Australia in October of 2024 as well as the MJT east coast junior championship in my hometown of moncton. These accomplishment are surreal and only solidify my hard work is paying off and I’m going to work hard to ass more to my roster this summer.
