Joline Truong (Women’s Golf)
Joline Truong emerged as one of the most reliable performers for Rutgers Scarlet Knights women’s golf this season. In just her sophomore year, she finished the season with an adjusted scoring average of 72.20 across 11 rounds! Joline kicked off the fall at the Wolverine Invitational with a stunning opening-round 3-under-par 68 – the lowest first-round score in the field – and wrapped the tournament tied for 16th. Her consistency carried through the season: she placed tied for 10th at the Princeton Invitational (helping Rutgers to a runner-up team finish) with a final round that included multiple birdies, and then closed the fall strong with a tie for 7th at the Route 66 Invitational.
Jenna Conrad (Women’s XC)
Jenna Conrad had a breakout fall 2025 as a first-year cross-country runner for Calgary. She opened the season with a win in her very first collegiate race – winning the women’s 6 km at the ACAC Running Room Grand Prix with a time of 24:42. At the Canada West Cross Country Championships she finished as the top freshman, crossing the line in 31:05, which earned her the 2025 Canada West Rookie of the Year honours. Jenna capped off the season at the U SPORTS Cross Country Championships by posting a solid 8 km result of 30:05 — finishing 48th overall and narrowly missing selection to the national all-rookie squad.
Roy Van der Veen (Football)
Roy Van der Veen broke out as one of Waterloo’s most productive running backs this season. He finished the season among the conference leaders – ranking fifth in touchdowns and showing a solid 4.9 yards per carry on average. On multiple occasions, he delivered game-impacting performances – the most notable coming against UofT when he scored two rushing touchdowns and helped lead Waterloo to a comeback win. Roy’s consistency, ability to find the end zone, and reliable rushing production made him one of Waterloo’s offensive standouts this fall — a promising sign for his continued role in the backfield as a junior.
Elyse Hutchinson (Women’s Volleyball)
Elyse Hutchinson had a productive 2025 fall campaign as a senior middle-blocker for the Presbyterian Blue Hose. She contributed significantly with a team-leading total of 111 kills and maintained a .278 hitting percentage, while adding 60 total blocks — ranking her among the most dependable front-line players on the squad. In a notable match against Dartmouth, she recorded 13 kills and posted an impressive .688 hitting percentage as the Blue Hose secured a 3–1 victory. Elyse’s combination of consistent attacking and strong net presence helped anchor Presbyterian’s front-line throughout her collegiate career.
Jordan Sohal (Men’s Soccer)
Jordan Sohal quietly played a solid role as a freshman for the Stonehill Skyhawks men’s soccer team during the fall season. He appeared in 16 matches (10 starts) and logged 915 minutes – an incredible amount for a freshman on the back line of a D1 program. Overall, Jordan’s regular inclusion in the lineup as a first-year player has helped him build a promising foundation for his future at the back line with Stonehill.
