Next Level U Statement
My name is Angelina Atia and I am interested in playing soccer at a 4 year institution while obtaining a Kinesiology and Health Sciences degree. I have an interest in learning about how the human body moves, and functions. I also have a great interest in learning about how injury prevention, and treatment for athletes can have an impact on the quality of life. Furthermore, I am interested in learning about how exercise, and sport skill development have an impact on the human body. I have had the opportunity to be an assistant soccer camp leader for children ages 4-8. This experience has taught me how important it is to help young athletes understand the impact of exercise, and skill development on their body. Also, to help them develop their soccer skills and work hard to become better athletes and perform at their optimal best. I play competitive soccer, and have been playing since I was 4 years old. I also have a great interest in many other sports that I play for leisure. I have seen first hand my teammates get injured, and know the value of maintaining a healthy body and mind in order to be a great athlete. I also know the importance of therapy after injury. I feel that studying Kinesiology will help me gain a great understanding of all these concepts, and allow me to help others recover from their injuries. I am an asset to any team, a fearless defender, with great leadership skills. My work ethics, teamwork, great communication skills and my ability to collaboration all allow me to be the best player God has intended me to be. I look forward to continuing to learn and develop as a young athlete.
