Next Level U Statement
My goal is to attend a four-year university where I can earn a strong business education while competing on a golf team where I have the opportunity to contribute and play. I want to compete at the highest level I can earn my way into, while continuing to develop my game and improve as a player. I want to improve and see how far I can take my game with more practice and hard work. Academically, I want to build the business knowledge and skills that will prepare me to eventually take over and lead my family’s golf course. I am looking for a university that will challenge me both academically and athletically and give me the opportunity to grow as a student and golfer.

I have grown up around golf and around our family golf course, so I have been working there for a long time. Over the past few years, I have taken on more responsibility, including range maintenance, working in the Pro Shop, helping my dad with weekly cash, teaching junior camps, mentoring our Development Team, and managing seven weekly leagues. I have also helped at a lot of junior events over the years. In 2026, I was a Team Captain for the Niagara Junior TEAM Tour, where I helped younger players with rules, helped them get ready for their rounds, and helped with scoring after.
For most of my junior golf career, I was one of the smaller players, so I had to learn how to score without relying on distance. There were a lot of times when I couldn’t reach greens in regulation, so I had to get really good at getting up and down to save par. That helped me develop a strong short game, better course management, and the ability to stay patient and grind out scores. Over the past year, I have grown a lot and started to gain more distance, which has given me more chances to hit greens in regulation, make birdies, and score lower.
I am pretty independent when it comes to practicing and I enjoy working on my game on my own. I also take school seriously and work hard to balance school with a busy tournament schedule.
Growing up at Sawmill has had a big influence on what I want to do in the future. My goal is to study business, keep improving as a golfer, and eventually take over and lead my family’s golf course.
