Next Level U Statement
In the future I would like to play volleyball at a 4 year institution, while also receiving a high level of education which will help prepare me for my future beyond volleyball. My academic objectives for post secondary school is to push myself to be a better student in the classroom, learning to collaborate with others, as well as bettering my time management skills between school and volleyball. Athletically, I want to push myself beyond my limits, and outside of my comfort zone, making me the best athlete I can be, learning to be a leader, and overall a more technical player. As a future student-athlete I want to push myself to be better in everything I do, from on the court, to in the classroom, I want to push myself to set me up for success in the future, not just in volleyball, but past it as well.

Libero
My playstyle is very calm, while also being very energetic at times. I also see my playstyle as very smart, making quick adjustments on the court. On serve receive I am very calm, moving quickly without too many unnecessary movements, and also being the cornerstone of the team’s defense. I know when and how to bring my team together and allow everyone to reset. At times, I am also very energetic and loud when my team needs a boost of energy to get us going. As a libero, It is my job to be the one who is constantly leading my teammates, ensuring that everyone is engaged and focused on what is next , allowing our team to be better at working together.
My calm and consistent serve receive allows me to take up lots of space on the court during serve receive, allowing for my hitters to focus on scoring the ball rather than having to pass. My game IQ allows my defense to thrive as I can read the opposing offense and hitters, putting me in the right position at the right time to make a big dig and swing the momentum towards my team. Additionally, being a libero puts me in a leadership position where I take control of the defense side of the ball. My high volleyball IQ also helps here as it allows me to see the game in a way that others don’t, making quick adjustments on the fly based on what I see fit.
