Academics

I’m interested in pursuing a career involved with Kinesiology, this way I could work in the sports industry being a team trainer, or a sports medicine doctor. I am also interested in education, specifically teaching physical education to elementary or high school students.

Positions:

I am a right wing, I sometimes play on the left. In a rare case, I have played center.

Player Style:

The main attribute to my playing style is my speed. I’m a hard forechecker that applies quick pressure to quickly obstruct the other teams breakout,  create turnovers, and create scoring opportunities. In the offensive zone, I keep control of the puck while waiting for and observing passing lines to create scoring opportunities.

Player Strengths:

My biggest asset is my speed. My speed allows me to win races, apply pressure/forecheck, keep control of the puck, and create scoring opportunities. Another one of my strengths is passing and or play making. I’m able to observe and also interpret passing lanes to help create chances. Along with forechecking, I’m good at battling and retrieving the puck from my opponent while being physical, but I rarely take penalties.

Leadership:

Other than my first year at u18, I have never been on a team with captains except for my second year of atom which was when I was the assistant captain.

Team History:

Starting at a young age I played one year of house league, then went up and played two years of novice in Kitchener. Ever since novice, I’ve played on the top team for the Kitchener Lady Rangers. This year coming up (2024-2025), I will be a senior on the Kitchener Lady Rangers u18AA team, it will be my 10th overall season in hockey. Besides regular season, I have played on my school’s hockey team every year so far, starting in grade 9. The last couple of years I have participated in a Brantford, ON and Niagara, ON spring hockey tournament for Laura Macintosh. Prior to that, I played in the same tournaments with Draft Day Hockey.

Other Info:

I don’t currently have video to share to this platform, but in the upcoming 2024-2025 season one of my goals will be to record more games and create highlight clips. I am a multi sport athlete which has helped contribute to my overall athletic abilities. I play soccer in the summer, and other sports in my background include track and field, tennis, and field hockey.

Individual Accomplishments:

Every year of high school (grade 9, 10, 11), I have earned honor roll. In Grade 10 I was awarded with MVP for my schools hockey team. Every year of high school I’ve earned an award that my school gives to those who perform well athletically while also excelling academically.

Team Accomplishments:

My first year of u18 (2022-2023), and both years in u15, my team earned the chance to go to provincials. My first year of u15 my team also earned a spot at lower lakes.
