Next Level U Statement

Hi, my name is Chloe and I was born and raised in London, England. I play varsity hockey at The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey where I am a senior (Class of 2025).

I started playing hockey at age 5 and played mixed hockey with boys until age 16. I played a season for the Jr Flyers U14 Tier AAA in 2018, but the pandemic prevented me from returning to the USA for a few years to pursue my hockey ambitions. I am back in the USA now and playing both high school and club hockey with the East Coast Valkyries U19 and The Lawrenceville School.  I previously was captain of the England U14 Team, assistant captain of the South East regional U13 team and have competed in IIHF international competitions with the Great Britain U18 team and more recently, with the Great Britain Senior Women at the World Championships in Latvia.

My aspiration is to play university hockey at the highest level I am able to. The formation of the PWHL is very exciting to me and I would love to develop into the kind of player who might have a chance to play at that level one day.

My academic interests include design and communication with a mix of also criminology and forensics. I am looking for a school where I can strike a balance between my athletic and academic interests.

I’m a coachable, hard-working, tough defender who isn’t afraid to go into the corners and high traffic areas to make a play. I love killing penalties, winning board battles, and getting pucks to the net from the point. I’m a smart, team-orientated  player who is passionate about doing whatever it takes to help the team win – including keeping the bench mood positive and helping the team stay focused on the next shift.
