Next Level U Statement

My goal is to play golf at the college level and get a Business degree.  I would like to play competitively for the college I sign to and improve my game.  I am the captain of the golf team at The Edge School for Athletes and enjoy the competitiveness of tournaments.

I am the 2022 Alberta U17 Junior Boys Provincial Champion after winning the first playoff hole (71-66) at Alberta Springs golf course.  I represented MJT Team Canada at the Junior America’s Cup July 30 – August 4th, 2022 in Pleasanton, California as a member of Team Alberta.

I have qualified for the MJT National Championships at Orange County National Golf club in Florida, November 11-14, 2022.

I approach each tournament with one goal in mind – to win.  I am extremely focused and tackle each hole shot by shot.  When I am under pressure from my competitors I concentrate on my goal and play with consistency.


Player Strengths:

My leadership qualities enable me to motivate myself and my team to our full competitive potential. I am able to quickly re-focus and get back on track when needed.


Leadership:

I take pride in being part of The Edge golf team and recently received a Mountaineer Award for outstanding academic effort. I enjoy getting involved in my community and through the Mickelson National Elite team I mentor the junior members throughout the season and during the winter I referee local community U9 to U15 hockey teams.


Team History:

I joined The Edge golf team last year in Grade 11 which was under the new direction of Ryan Cater. This year I am the captain of the team which has grown to 14 players.  Over the last year the team has seen consistent improvements in skill and tournament finishes.


Individual Accomplishments:

Golf 2022 Highlights

• Crowned the Alberta U17 Champion after winning the first playoff hole, with a 71-66 (137) finish at the Alberta Springs Golf Resort
• Scored a career low of 137 (66-71) at MJT Riverbend Spring Classic which qualified me to represent MJT Team Canada at the Junior America’s Cup July 30 – August 4th, 2022 in Pleasanton, California
• One of 18 juniors to receive an invitation to MJT Future Stars sponsored by the ATB Classic and PGA Tour Canada at the Edmonton Petroleum Golf and Country Club

Golf 2021 Highlights

• Seven top three finishes on the MJT seasonal tour including a seasonal low of 139 (67-72) at Copper Point Golf Club in Invermere, British Columbia
• Three first place finishes on the Alberta Golf McLennan Ross Junior Tour
• Won the 2021 RBC Order of Merit in Juvenile boys age division
• Tied for third place in the Alberta U19 Championship (73-68-71) qualifying me to the Canadian Junior Boys Championship in Quebec

 


Team Accomplishments:

The Edge golf team finished top 2 in both the Boys Junior and Juvenile divisions at the MJT Spring Classic Tournament at Riverbend golf course in May

The team has participated in numerous competitive tournaments this season including the Canadian U19 Championships and the upcoming MJT National Championships in Orange County Florida in November.
