Next Level U Statement
My academic objective is to pursue a field like Kinesiology or a related health and performance program where I can better understand how the body moves, recovers, and performs at a high level. As a student-athlete, I want to stay committed to my studies and maintain strong grades while developing knowledge that connects directly to my experience in sport. Long term, I see myself using that education in a career related to sport performance, rehabilitation, or coaching.
Athletically, my goal is to continue developing as a reliable and intelligent defender who can compete at a high level. I want to build on my strengths as a strong, physical presence on the ice while continuing to improve my skating, decision making, and puck movement under pressure. I take pride in being dependable in defensive situations, blocking shots, and supporting my goalie.
Overall, my aspiration is to compete at the highest level of hockey I can reach while balancing it with strong academics. I want to be someone coaches can trust both on and off the ice, and a teammate who contributes through leadership, work ethic, and consistency.
