Next Level U Statement

I am 16 years old and in Grade 11 at White Oaks Secondary School in Oakville, Ontario. School and golf are my top priorities, I am driven by extraordinary results and constant growth and improvement.

I have been playing golf since 2020, but have only been playing competitively in tournaments since the summer of 2024. Since I started playing golf, I’ve seen rapid improvement.

My ultimate goal with golf is to play at a collegiate level. I understand the importance of team-play that values independent success. At every turn, I challenge myself to be better and learn. I excel in an environment where everyone is pushing each other to progress and shine.

I understand that growth is not a linear process, which is why I am so motivated to get out there every day and do my very best. I smile in the face of adversity and challenge because I know that that’s what results in greatness.

Player Style:

“Rainah’s game is grounded in true fundamentals : a fluid swing, sharp short game, and reliable long-range control. Built from the ground up, her foundation is what will set her apart in the long run.”

I am a disciplined and focused individual who puts in the time and practice required to improve, and eventually, excel. My focus is on getting 1% better everyday. I pay attention to the small details within my mindset and swing, allowing me to make those minor adjustments that make all the difference in the big picture.

Player Strengths:

Short Game:

  • Making up and downs
  • Chipping from various lies
  • Being professionally trained just in short game, 3 lessons a week

Long game:

  • Driver accuracy (nearly 72% fairways)
  • Excellent accuracy from 30-90 yards
  • Getting out of trouble and saving a par
  • Being professionally trained just in the long game, 3 lessons a week

Mindset

  • Growth mindset
  • Able to recover from a bad shot/hole
    • “The best golfer isn’t the one with the fanciest clubs or the nicest shoes or any of that stuff. It’s the one who can summon the will to keep swinging when things get tough.” – JB Peña, The Long Game
  • Self-belief and confidence
  • The drive to constantly get better and improve
  • The discipline to be practicing for hours everyday without fail

Leadership:

Golf Camp Assistant

In the summer of 2023, I worked alongside professional golf coaches to teach youth golfers technical skills to improve their game and confidence when on the course.

Sick Kids Initiative

When I was 10 years old, I had the initiative to start a rainbow-loom bracelet fundraiser for Sick Kids. I made and sold bracelets to make a total of $5000 to donate to Sick Kids.

Heart and Stroke Foundation Initiative

In grade 5, I raised over $2000 from friends, family, and others to donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation for a school event. I was able to successfully raise the most money out of anyone from my school.
