Men’s Apple Blossom Invitational at KenWo
On May 24th and 25th I played in the Men’s Apple Blossom Invitational at KenWo Golf Club. I played extremely well in round 1 considering the tough and windy conditions shooting even par 70. I then struggled in round 2 shooting 77. In round 1 I started off slow, hitting only 2 of 9 greens on the front nine. I then shot 2 under on the back nine with no bogeys to finish at even par, and in solo 4th, one shot off the lead. In round 2, it was cold and rainy, and was a grind. I wasn’t judging the brutal winds very well and ended up not giving myself many good looks at birdie, and could not buy a putt, ending with zero birdies on the round. I ended up in a tie for 13th place at the end of the tournament. While this wasn’t the result I was hoping for, I was happy overall with my performance, as this was the first time I had played in the tournament, and it was a very strong field, including half a dozen former college players.
