Spring Success: NLU Alumni Shine Across North America

  • 6 May 2025

As the 2025 spring collegiate season begins to wind down, several Next Level U Sports alumni are making headlines and helping their teams reach new heights. Here are just a few of the standout performances from this spring so far:

Meg McCallum – Softball – University of Rio Grande

Meg McCallum and the Red Storm are heading to nationals! Rio Grande, the River States Conference (RSC) regular-season champions and top seed in the conference tournament, clinched an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship after another dominant campaign. Meg has made 21 appearances this spring, helping her team achieve an impressive 44-9 record.

Aidan Talent – Men’s Golf – Davis & Elkins College

Freshman phenom Aidan Talent is turning heads early in his collegiate career. At the Atlantic/East Regional Preview hosted by Gannon University, Aidan fired a stellar second-round 68 to tie for medalist honors—an incredible achievement in a strong field. His efforts also led Davis & Elkins College to a second-place team finish at the event held at Whispering Woods Golf Club.

Grace Mummery – Softball – Wheeling University

Grace Mummery and the Wheeling University Cardinals put together a strong season that ended in a tight battle at the MEC Tournament. Appearing in 34 games this spring, Grace was a dependable force in the lineup, scoring 20 runs and helping to fuel the Cardinals’ offense throughout the season.

Sophia Bryenton – Track & Field – Trinity Western University

Out in Western Canada, Sophia Bryenton is showing steady progress in her track & field season for Trinity Western University. Competing at the inaugural Battle of Sparta outdoor meet, Sophia cleared 3.42 meters in the pole vault, good for a 4th-place finish. With the outdoor season just getting started, Sophia is set up for an exciting spring as she continues to raise the bar—literally.

These performances reflect the talent and dedication of our NLU alumni—and we’re just getting started. With more postseason events, national championships, and personal bests on the horizon, we’ll be cheering loud and proud from the sidelines.
